I LOVE this show! I miss college all of a sudden . I watched the entire first season (22 episodes) in 3 days - only when i have free time of course.
College. It's a rush.

Casey Cartwright: Have you forgotten about our first time? You can be as cocky as you want but it was more than just sex.
Cappie: It was pretty amazing right.
Casey Cartwright: No! It was awkward, uncomfortable and terrifying. But we were in love it was a perfect moment in time that I look back on with no regrets. Rusty deserves the same.
------
Cappie: It's simple. The secret to flirting, dating, and hooking up is all biology.
Rusty Cartwright: Don't you mean anatomy?
Cappie: Spitter, can't you see I'm in lecture mode? Where was I? AH! Biology. Okay, there's this guy named Chuck Darwin, now he proved that mankind has evolved over billions and trillions of years. Darwin showed that every aspect of human behavior has an evolutionary purpose. Right? Chatting up girls is in our genetic code, we're programmed to be able to do it. Why? So we can boink and make babies. It's survival of the flirtiest.

Say Cheese!

mood: cheesy
An evening of cheese and wine was something i was looking forward to as a form of relaxation after weeks of stress and sleepless nights.
Last wednesday, Brian and I were invited as paying guests to attend the monthly Cheese club meet at the Manila Polo Club. It was pretty much what i expected in a cheese club. The pungent smell of cheese filled the hall as we made our way to the function room. When we finally got there, i got excited when i saw rows and rows of tables lined with different kinds of cheeses. We came in a little bit late which is why we missed some cheese varieties but there was still enough to go around. Without hesitation, i made my way through the crowd of expats and started sampling the wonderful cheeses. There was a good selection of Blue cheeses like the usual Gorgonzola and Roquefort. My favorite was the Cambozola. It's a combination of a french soft ripened triple cream cheese and an italian gorgonzola. It's nice and creamy and not as strong as the other blue cheeses. I remember trying out the more common ones like the Camembert, Cheddar and Aged Edams to name a few. Honestly, i can't remember all of them because some of them I haven't even heard of nor tried before. Not to mention my wine glass was hardly empty the entire evening. Hehe. Further down the room, was the fondue and Rackette station where it smelled like hell but I was able taste a piece of heaven.
One thing that caught my attention was a local blue cheese from Davao. If my memory serves me right, it was called the Davao Blue. It was Ok, considering that cheese isn't really a staple in a filipino's diet and we're not really known for our cheese-making abilities. It was a lot milder in taste and texture is more crumbly and less creamier compared to the European blue cheeses. It's not as stinky too. Hehehe.
Overall, it was a great experience. I'm SO glad i'm not lactose intolerant! I was told that there is a month-long wait list for membership because they keep the numbers to a minimum and getting in isn't as easy as pie either. Brian's submitting his membership application within the week and hopefully, with the help of some member friends (the "mafia" as we call them) he'll get in.

We absolutely made Sophia's day today. We took her to see Barney! She's been hooked on Barney for the longest time, so we thought this would be a nice treat for our little girl. She really enjoyed herself while dancing and singing along with the other kids (even quite a number of dads actually).
I came to realize, that at this stage in my life, it's mostly going to be watching a purple dinosaur sing and dance, hoping the little ones wouldn't throw tantrums in public and trying to outsmart people a fraction my age. I'm a totally different person. Haha.
Barney

Of course she had to bring her own Barney to the show. Baby Barney needs to see Big Barney too!

The moment the show started, she rushed up front to get a closer look.

I can tell she's itching to climb that stage and play with Barney.

It's time to put all that energy into use, so we thought of enrolling her in toddler classes. She loved it!
Kindermusik experience...

(i guess having boys around always makes it interesting...)

My family spent the night in Tagaytay a few days ago. So Brian and I decided to take Sophie along after the lolo's and the lola's and the tito's and titas insisted. It was Sophie's first trip outside of Metro Manila. She was so behaved in her car seat the entire trip going there and coming home. We all had a lot of fun bringing her along. Such a darling!

We watched the Pussycat Dolls concert last night. I gotta admit, i like their songs. They do have great moves too. I'll probably enroll myself in a strip tease class to be able to do them! Hahaha. We had fun despite the deafening shrieks of teenage girls!

I haven't been into the concert-watching scene for quite some time now. I think the last concert i saw was Vanilla Ice?? Hahahaha...
I believe we're watching INXS next month. Can't wait!

He just had to get his hands on one. It is cute. Well, more like sleek and sexy, and i'm not even talking about myself. Wahahaha...
Brian's new toy...

Form factor wise, it's quite appealing. You go out using one and I'm sure people are going to stare! I haven't been able to tinker with it that much but i love that remote thingy where you can control several applications with that ipod shuffle-like remote. I'm still a little confused with the whole Windows running with the Mac OS, but i'll get there. In other words, I have yet to read the manual :p
One thing i don't like about it is that it stains easily specially when you have oily hands. I thought it was going to have this acrylic casing similar to the iBook. Instead, it has this matte finish similar to the Aluminum PB's . I wonder how cleaning it would be like, not to mention keeping it clean. So if you're thinking of eating fried chicken today or anything greasy for that matter, not a good idea to go handle your Macbook right away.
It would've been great too if it had that illuminated keyboard. It tends to get a little too dark specially if you're working in a dark room.

What do i do in the middle of the night when when i'm wide awake putting Sophie to sleep? I watch (with headphones of course) Grey's Anatomy. Seriously!!
I've seen 20 episodes in 2 days and i want to see more. Obviously, i really enjoy watching it. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy watching...
McDreamy...

and Mmmmmm McSteamy!

... and of course all the love triangle and the "who's sleeping with whom" that's happening in between. Nasty! :p

I'm off to the hospital tomorrow morning. I'm past my due date so my OB decided to induce labor. I was due April 4, so i'm about a week over. Our baby seems to be enjoying herself in there too much :p. Can't blame her! hehehe...
I can't go on for another week kasi that might stress her out naman because of the limited leg room. Not good. Plus, she's gonna get too big and would be extremely difficult to deliver. Right now, she's about 8lbs. 9oz!!
I'm hoping for a normal delivery. My pelvimetry test showed that my pelvis is big enough to accommodate a normal delivery, but you never really know. We just hope for the best, and of course, a healthy baby.
We're naming her Sophia Breanna. :-) (tapos biglang boy pala) wahahahaha...

6 more months to go. Seems like foreeeeever!! Right now, i see a little bulge in my tummy. Somehow i can't figure out if it's baby or just fat. hehehehe :P
My clothes are starting to feel a little tight. It's time to bring out the fat clothes again. I'm looking at some possible mommy clothes. I kinda dread wearing maternity clothes. They're very unflattering! hehehe! Great to know they make jeans and pants made for pregnant women. I have to say bye to my high heels for a while too. Better safe than sorry, right?
So far, i don't go through that whole morning sickness thingy, no particular cravings either ( i eat them all). I only suffer from minor back pains and certain people really irritate the hell outta me. That includes my husband from time to time :P Oh, and lately, i've been such a cry baby. I cry when watching certain tv shows, i even cried when Manny Pacquiao won. Wahahahahaha!
I'm only suppose to gain 25 pounds during the entire pregnancy. Good luck to me!!

Brian and I, together with Martin and our cousins headed to Cebu and Bohol for a mini-vacation. Martin visited for a couple of weeks from Australia. We've been planning this trip for the longest time and I'm glad we finally did it!
We had tons of fun. Wish we could stay longer than 4 days. Lots more places to go to and and lots more stories to hear. :D We'll be back for sure!
One of the coolest things we saw was this manmade forrest. It's doesn't go for miles but the few kms. driving through it was awesome. It felt like we were headed to a remote village in Scotland or something. Ok, i'm pushing it a 'lil bit. :P...

umm... yeah, we had a brief moment there. hahaha

We had lunch at this floating restaurant while it leisurely cruises the Loboc river. This was really something to remember. Nothing fancy but it was very relaxing and fun at the same time!

Of course, one's visit to Bohol is never complete without the Tarsier encounter! Such cuties!!

We also had the chance to see the ever famous Chocolate Hills and we had our share of beaches to go to. I was hoping i'd get a nice tan, but as usual, NOTHING! hahaha...
